In support of sick children in the Maritimes, EFNS has adopted the Halifax homes kitchen and donated $10,000. On December 6th, local egg farmer Geneve Newcombe, from Cornwallis Farms, visited the home and helped with an EFNS sign unveiling in the kitchen. The sponsorship will help ease the financial burden and emotional burden for families by providing an affordable and comfortable place to stay and access to a community of support. Last year the house in Halifax supported 570 families and provided 5,632 nights of comfort to families travelling to Halifax for medical treatment.
The donation was made possible through the Egg Farmers Give Back funding program.
