In support of sick children in the Maritimes, Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia has adopted the Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic kitchen and donated $10,000. In 2021, local egg farmers Cory, Alicia and Carter Cox, from Ross Coss Poultry, visited the home and brought egg breakfast sandwiches for the house guests. The sponsorship will help ease the financial burden and emotional burden of families by providing an affordable and comfortable place to stay and access to a community of support. In previous years the house in Halifax supported 570 families and provided 5,632 nights of comfort to families travelling to Halifax for medical treatment.
The donation was made possible through the Egg Farmers Give Back funding program.
